Among enormous cardamom plants and tea plantations in the rugged Munnar a local expert explains the amazing history of tea. Then it’s off to Thekkady through the stunning Lockhart Gap, with spectacular views of tea gardens and lakes along the way, where we discover the healing powers of Keralan spices with a specialist in ayurvedic medicine. Spices have been integral to Kerala's history.

We take a private nature walk and boat safari in Periyar National Park with an expert guide in search of tigers, mongooses and elephants. A van follows the group of riders throughout the trip and carries all belongings. If at any point riding seems a little hard, the van takes you for as long or as little as you wish it to.
