Outside magazine included the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route on its list of "The Best Backcountry Adventure Trips in America." They could amend that superlative statement to read "North America." Since the Canada extension to the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route was added in late 2003, the reviews from riders have been absolute raves. On this self-supported ride, you'll learn for yourself why that is.
This far north stretch of pedaling paradise is like the entire Great Divide in microcosm -- only with the absence of the southern deserts of New Mexico, perhaps. This portion of the Great Divide features some of the most magnificent and forbidding mountain country you'll ever see, anywhere.
We'll continue to ride another 112 miles along on the Great Divide, which will take us through the deep woods of northern Montana. Here we'll skirt the western boundary of spectacular Glacier National Park, alongside the North Fork of the Flathead River, before dropping into our finish in Whitefish.
Let this very special trip be your passport to adventure. You're guaranteed to arrive back home with a craving to see more of the Great Divide.
