• Night 1: Doubletree by Hilton, New Bern Riverfront. Overlooking the marina, and walking distance to shops, galleries and restaurants in downtown New Bern.

• Night 2: Inlet Inn, Beaufort, NC. Walking distance from everything in the heart of the historic district, the Inlet Inn boasts the best views of the Beaufort waterfront and spacious rooms. Relax and enjoy the sea breezes on the balcony of your waterfront room. You may want to add a night here to the beginning or end or your tour.

• Nights 3-4: The Castle on Silver Lake, Ocracoke, NC. You will not want to leave the island hospitality provided by this beautifully restored bed and breakfast! Relax with friends by the private heated pool, on the widow's walk, or in the parlor complete with billiards table.

• Night 5: River Neuse Suites, Oriental, NC. Brand new luxury condominiums overlooking Oriental's picturesque harbor provide your final night's lodging. Walking distance to shops and marinas in this laid-back village.

We cycle 15 - 50+ miles each day (at your option) along flat terrain. Strong coastal winds sometimes present a minor challenge, but they are just as likely to propel us along our route! Several ferry rides are scattered throughout this tour, allowing pleasant opportunities to relax. Along the way, observe coastal wetlands as you bike through the Cedar Island National Wildlife Refuge and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Our tour start location of New Bern, NC is easy to reach by car or plane. Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) is just minutes away from our inn downtown. It is served by both USAir and Delta. Great roads in eastern North Carolina connect New Bern to the I-95 and I-40 corridors.
