Day 1
Florence

Individual arrival in Florence. Take the evening to tour Florence's numerous places of interest.

Day 2
Florence – Passignano sul Trasimeno (43 miles/70 km by train, 37 miles/60 km by bike)

In the morning, the tour begins with a train ride to Arezzo, where you can visit the splendid churches and palaces in the city of antiquities and gold. After touring the city, you bike along beautiful lanes through the wide plain of Valdichiana, constantly accompanied by the hill and mountain silhouettes of Southern Tuscany. Passing Cortona, the route continues to the Trasimeno Lake and the battlefield where Hannibal fought against the Romans. Overnight stay in a small village on the lake.

Day 3
Passignano sul Trasimeno – Perugia (22 miles/35 km)

Today's route follows the lake to Torricella before continuing on small and secluded lanes to Perugia, the day's final stop. The route passes through wide fields, rolling hills and idyllic villages. After the ride, take a walk through Perguia, visiting the impressive San Lorenzo Cathedral, Palazzo dei Priori and the Arco Etrusco.

Day 4
Perugia – Assisi (19 miles/30 km)

Only a short ride from Perugia is Assisi, home of St. Francis. Discover the beautiful town and cathedrals of Assisi, while enjoying breathtaking views of Umbria off its hill-top location.

Day 5
Assisi – Spoleto (34 miles/55 km)

Following the enormous “Monte Subasio,” the tour heads to the ancient town of Spello. Riding along a dam you cycle towards Spoleto, passing towns like Montefalco, Trevi and Campello situated in the surrounding hills.

Day 6
Spoleto – Terni/Narni (16-22 miles/25-35 km)

Embedded between mountains in a wonderful landscape, the route heads to Terni. Terni is well-known for its pastry shops and most creative cuisine in the whole region! In the afternoon, you can visit the famous Marble Falls.
Overnight in Terni/Narni.

 
Day 7
Terni/Narni– Rome (40 miles/65 km + train)

Today's first stage from Narni to Calvi is quite hilly. After the stage, you can enjoy the calmness and seclusion of the small Umbrian town at the foot of the Sabine mountains, before you go by train into Rome. It is said that “all roads lead to Rome," and that’s why we are here!

Rome
